Originally, known as The Handy Frenchman, Eric Marie was running a successful handyman business in Chicago, when his large corporate customer told another building manager that "You need to get an Eric," in response to who was doing such a great job for them.
That big customer was a large vacation rental company in the U.S, helping them on board and off board properties and manage preventive maintenance in Chicago and Miami.
So, he launched Get an Eric, LLC, helping customers with property updates, repairs, renovations, maintenance and other home projects, and added a painting team, certified electrician and plumber.
Eric and his team of guys now provide reliable handyman and general contractor services to residents and business in Chicago in need of ethical and trustworthy professionals of integrity who get the job done right, on time and on budget. ALWAYS!

Recent Projects
We had the pleasure of renovating this classic home and updating it's look and feel for a family happy to returning home to Highland Park.
Our suburban customer wanted a custom made kitchenette and floating bar for entertaining in their basement. This butcher block-type design in a dark stain is a real stand out against the grey cabinets. We'll be back to build a custom piece for the upstairs this spring.
This Chicago customer needed a proper office work space. This nook was the perfect place for a custom built-in desk that makes good use of the space, providing inspiration.
Our customer wanted to breathe new life into this sideboard. We sanded and stained it in a nice new, more modern finish.

A small business owner wanted a front desk/reception area that needed to be custom built. This is just Phase I. Next, we will add tile and further customization.
